KEY+ Updates

The Key to Find Your Spark is a passion-based programme designed in partnership with the Ferdinando & Luigi Innocenti Foundation to help young people explore what matters to them and turn those interests into real, youth-led projects. Through practical experience, the programme helps young people better understand their strengths, explore possible future pathways and keep developing their interests one project at a time.

‘Care and Cup’s Society’ is a group of six young people who hosted a pop-up café at a residential home called ‘Little Sisters of the Poor.’ Their goal? To bridge the gap between generations, share stories, and bring some warmth to the residents’ day with good company and great conversation.

The Funky Flamingo's planned a group trip to an escape room alongside other volunteers from The Box. Not only was this a great opportunity to build problem-solving, communication, and time management skills, but it also served as a well-deserved reward for the hard work that the volunteers put in.

Student Volunteering Week 2025 is here and at The Key, we're celebrating the incredible contributions of student volunteers who help empower young people to believe in themselves and achieve their potential.

At The Key, we love seeing the real impact of KEY+ in action, and Gosforth East Middle School is a fantastic example of how the KEY+ Challenge can empower young people. 

As we celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, we're sharing Nicole's thoughts and experiences so far as a Marketing Executive Apprentice for The Key. Apprenticeships offer an incredible opportunity to develop new skills, gain hands-on experience, and kick-start a career!

The Cream Egg Key Voices is a group of young people who hosted an "environmentally inspired event for the community, to spread the word of recycling and caring for nature." The project taught people about green days and the group received kind donations from the community.

Join The Key's team of #GNR25 heroes and make a difference to young North East lives!

KEY+ Group, ABC Team, raised money for a local animal charity through a farmers' market and fundraising activities. They raised a whopping £145 for the PDSA (People's Dispensary for Sick Animals).
