Meet Rose, one of our incredible Volunteer Panel Members!
Rose supports The Key as a Volunteer Panel Member, using her experience and passion for giving back to help young people bring their ideas to life. After first discovering The Key through an event with one of our sponsors, Rose was inspired by the opportunity to share her knowledge, provide mentoring feedback and support youth-led projects across the North East.
From memorable pitches like Stand4Change to supporting young people as they develop their confidence and creativity, Rose has seen first-hand the impact of giving young people a platform to share their ideas. We caught up with Rose to hear more about her volunteering journey, her favourite moments and why she continues to support The Key.
"I think my favourite was Stand4 Change a few years ago, where I was involved as one of the groups interview projects, when their pitch was to pay for pod cast equipment to interview various people."
"I feel that the youth need support from experienced people and The Key is the ideal place to give back to community."
"I think the nature trails moved me the most as this reaches to the core of a requirement for modern society, with special needs youth integrating into work and society looking to normalise life through break outs."
"I love volunteering I have worked with a few charities such as outreach at a church In Newcastle, and refugees building community in Durham."
A huge thank you to Rose for sharing her experience and for the time, knowledge and encouragement she continues to give to young people through The Key.
Our Volunteer Panel Members play an important role in helping young people feel heard, valued and supported as they bring their ideas to life.
