Your Community. Your Voice. Your Action
Communities are stronger together. This is your chance to stand up, speak out, and show what you stand for.
Do you and your friends have an idea that:
- Brings people together
- Challenges division or
- Create space for everyone to belong?
Here’s your chance to make it happen!
The Key is launching the 'Unity in Community' opportunity. A bold chance for young people to lead projects, spark change, and create stronger, more connected communities.
Across the UK, young people are stepping up to tackle division, celebrate diversity, and make their voices heard. Now, we’re backing those ideas with support and freedom to lead.
Why Community Unity Matters
Communities thrive when everyone feels they belong. Tension and division are on the rise. That’s why The Key is investing in young changemakers who want to:
- Unite people from different backgrounds
- Celebrate diversity and inclusion
- Make their communities safer, stronger, and more connected
In honour of #iWill Week 2025, this is your moment to take action and show the power of youth-led change.
What’s On Offer?
We’ve set aside £3,000 to make your youth-led Unity in the Community projects to happen. Here’s what you can get:
- Funding for your idea: £250, £500, or up to £1,000 depending on your project and plan.
- Full control: You design, lead, and deliver your project idea including how to make it happen and what to spend your budget on, pitch it to The Key - and if your idea gets the green light, bring it to life!
- Real impact: Bring people together, celebrate difference, and raise understanding
Your project can be anything from a community event, creative campaign, workshop, or local initiative - as long as it brings people together and tackles division.
