#YOUTHSOCIALACTION2019

It's Youth Social Action Day and we're celebrating by bringing the #PowerofYouth to the forefront and sharing some of the inspirational social action our young people have been delivering over the past 3 years year.

The Key were supported by Pears Foundation and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport to inspire disadvantaged and vulnerable young people from the North East to explore social action on their own terms. With their funding we've been able to:

• Support 1,256 young people to engage in The Key Framework with a social action theme and
• Plan 303 of their very own social action themed Key Projects.As a result...
• Young people developed their skills by an average of 28% and
• A further 28,547 members of the community benefited from the social action projects they planned and delivered.

We've been inspired by the wealth of amazing things our young people have achieved through their social action projects over the years and, thanks to funding from Virgin Money Foundation and the National Community Fund, we're committed to inspiring more young people to begin their social action today.
