The Key to Cruising

On Thursday 20th July, 120 young people gathered to attend our latested free youth event, The Key to Cruising party.

This time around we joined forces with 10 youngsters from Hebburn Comprehensive School who helped us to organise the big event and bring together young people from across the region for a night of creativity and fun.

Students from Hebburn Comprehensive School had been tasked with using their creativity and individuality to plan their first event for young people who, like them, had been supported by The Key. With the challenge in hand, the group certainly didn't disappoint when they came up with their Pirate themed River Cruise.

With weeks of planning and organising under their belts, the group were ready to open the doors and welcome people on board. On Thursday 20th July, 120 young people from youth organisations across the North East gathered on the Quayside dock to set sail.

The party organised by the students was absolutely spectacular projectand it was great to see the young people truly make it their own.

Next up for the group will be their very own October free event so watch this space to see what comes next.
