Seasons Greetings from The Key
We'd like to say a huge thank you for all of your support in 2018. It's been a massive year for The Key and together we've been able to achieve great things.
Here's a few festive tales from Key youngsters to set you up for your Christmas break...
1. Team Dynamite - A group of young people from Wharton Trust in Hartlepool supported families in need in the run up to Christmas. Team Dynamite created their own hampers filled with gifts, food and other essentials for the winter period. They packaged them up and handed them out to families in need in Dyke House Estate, Hartlepool.
2. Glitter Gang - In a bid to help the homeless get through the tough winter conditions, Glitter Gang set about creating their own essential care packages for homeless people in South Tyneside. The group filled their hampers with care items such as hats, socks, gloves and included sanitary products like hand sanitiser, wipes and sanitary towels.
3. Santa Dash n Rave - A group of young men from Seaham High School decided to run their own Fun Run with a festive twist. The group got all pupils involved and dressed up as Santa to do a mad dash around the school before finishing with a just dance Christmas rave. The group made sure the event was accessible to all so that everyone could take part in the spirit boosting, team building opportunity.
4. Boys R Us - A group from Ferryhill ran a winter wonderland extravaganza for their local community. Complete with a Santa's grotto, singing Elsa, refreshments and much more. The event went off with a bang and was a huge success. Boys R Us even managed to rope in the local Mayor and get him dressed up. Check it out below...
