GNR Spotlight: Lewis Blakelock
Lewis is a KFC Restaurant Manager and on Sunday 8th September he ran the Great North Run in aid of The Key.
He was pushed thruogh the massive 13.1 mile distance in order to help transform the lives of more young people from the North East.
He completed the race in a brilliant 2 hours and 18 minutes and raised over £250 for The Key.
As the regional charity partner of the KFC Foundation, The Key has been lucky enough to not only receive donations from the Foundation but also to build relationships with KFC Staff, like Lewis, and receive invaluable support from them too!
Since our partnership began, we've provided over 413 North East young people facing challenging circumstances with the opportunities and support they need and deserve. Together we've supported them to dream up, plan, budget, pitch and execute 93 of their own projects ideas. An additional 6,421 members of the community benefitted from the projects young poeple delverred. This shows the positive impact that The Key has on the communities where KFC is operating.
Well done Lewis!
