The Key is a charity committed to inspiring young people to believe in themselves, especially those facing challenging circumstances. We work with nearly a hundred organisations across the North East who use the KEY+ Challenge to empower young people to use their voices, take part in activities and projects meaningful to them, build their skills and confidence, and become more active in their communities.

Everyone knows that sometimes you get an office superstar who just makes it all tick. We need one of those, someone who can be excellent at a range of tasks so that The Key runs smoothly and the team can work with our partners and young people to make the greatest impact possible.

You’ll provide valuable support to the team by carrying out tasks relating to running the KEY+ Challenge, finance, health & safety, IT and dealing with day-to-day queries. You’ll work closely with our Trustees by supporting our Board meetings. Like everyone in our team, you’ll be an important voice as we develop and deliver our annual plans. It goes without saying (but we’ll say it anyway) you’ll need enthusiasm, ambition, and strong values. Day to day, you’ll work with a committed team who are super focused on trying to help young people access the brilliant opportunities they deserve. Working hours are flexible with some office and home working.

This is a job that will guarantee you brilliant moments as you see what different groups of young people make happen when they get the right opportunities. Have a look at our website to see some of those amazing stories. If you’re interested and want to talk to us – please get in touch we’d love to speak to you and answer any questions.

To apply, please email your CV (no longer than two pages) along with a covering letter demonstrating why you are a good fit for the role to theteam@thekeyuk.org

The deadline to submit your CV and covering letter is on Monday 25th September 2023.
