Today we’re celebrating Richard Cheetham, who recently took on a whopping 50-mile ultramarathon in aid of The Key, raising a remarkable £1,045. Despite not being a runner, Richard wanted to take on this immense challenge, driven by the positive impact he’d seen The Key have on young lives.
Running 50 miles is a monumental feat, even for seasoned athletes. For Richard, it meant pushing himself to the absolute limit, persevering through pain and injury. After facing a few setbacks during training and an early injury in the race, Richard found motivation in knowing that his efforts would help support even more young people to take on the KEY+ Challenge.
His dedication paid off—not only did he complete the ultramarathon in an incredible 18 hours, but he also raised an impressive £1,045, which will enable us to reach even more young people.
Thank you, Richard, for your inspiring effort, and to everyone who supported him along the way. If you’re inspired by Richard’s story, there are many ways to get involved with The Key. Together, we can continue to make a difference, one step at a time. Click here for more.
