We're excited to launch our annual report which gives you a snapshot of our impact, achievements and learning from the financial year 2024/25!

It's been an incredible year at The Key and we have achieved some pretty big milestones. Through the KEY+ Challenge, 1,635 individual young people:

• Took the lead on projects that mattered to them
• Built confidence and key skills
• Used their voices to tackle real social issues

This year, the need for opportunities like KEY+ has been clearer than ever. With over a third of young people in the North East living in poverty, and the gap widening for those facing challenging circumstances, our work remains vital. In 2024/25, more young people than ever have stepped up to lead their own projects and activities, making a lasting impact. KEY+ has also helped young people make successful, settled transitions into education and adult life, and our KEY+ Transitions partnership with Children North East even won an award for Best Partnership.

We've reflected, adapted, and grown - improving the KEY+ Challenge, strengthening partnerships, and making sure every young person feels seen, trusted, and supported. We'll continue to expand reach, innovate our programs, and focus on lasting impact!
