Hi, I’m Evangeline, a student at Newcastle University, and I’m currently volunteering with The Key as part of my career development module. Through this experience, I’m excited to be a Volunteer Panel Member, where my goal is to ensure that young people’s voices are heard and their projects get the support they need.

As a young person, I was passionate about creating more spaces for social action, and now I have the opportunity to help others do the same. What I find truly inspiring is the drive young people still have for change. They’re not only eager to make a difference but also to build stronger connections within their schools and communities — something I strongly believe in and want to advocate for.

One aspect of my volunteer role that excites me is the chance to improve my critical analysis skills. Sitting on panels, reviewing project proposals, and diving into the finer details requires thoughtful evaluation. By learning how to assess projects and offer meaningful recommendations, I know I’ll grow both professionally and personally.
