Making steps towards a new normal

Happy April 12th!

As we move to the next stage on the roadmap, we thought we’d take the chance to revel in a step towards normality with our amazing members and encourage you to dust off your skills wheels and get your thinking caps on! Now things have opened up a little bit, and the NYA Guidelines have moved to stage 2, we can think of no better way to celebrate the extra freedom than with an amazing Key project!

What better way to reconnect with people you’ve only seen on Zoom for months than to plan a really fun trip or organise a social action project to make a difference in a post-lockdown world? And as an added benefit, it’s a chance to develop skills, confidence and help young people realise their potential! It can be easy to be despondent with bad news of the impact of covid, so why not let The Key Framework inject some hope, enthusiasm and excitement into your young people?!

For those who can meet safely, why not start a group in person and get your Key adventure started right away? For those of you who are easing your way back to in-person events, how about starting virtually over Zoom in anticipation of doing something fun or meaningful when you are ready to meet in person!

Panels can be run both virtually or covid-secure in person and The Key Team are always on hand to give you a helping hand if necessary! We are also happy to sit on Zoom calls or to come out and visit you guys with facemasks and hand sanitiser at the ready! If you have would-be facilitators itching to be trained, we have virtual training sessions scheduled for 11 May and 10 June, which you can sign up for now through the website.

We hope you are looking forward to safely emerging from lockdown and please do get in touch if we at The Key can be part of that in any way at all!

Best wishes,

Una, Jack and The Key Team
