Ready to take on the Great North Run in 2027? Join team The Key and experience one of the worlds most iconic half marathons whilst raising money to create more opportunities for young people across the North East.
The 13.1 mile route takes you from Newcastle, across the famous Tyne Bridge and through Gateshead, before finishing on the coast in South Shields. With thousands of runners and spectators lining the route, the atmosphere is truly unforgettable.
Whether you're a seasoned runner, prefer to walk, or fancy making your way to the finish line at your own pace, we'd love to have you on our team.

Secure your place in the Great North Run for just £35 and commit to raising a minimum of £300 for The Key.
By choosing this option, you’ll help us empower young people to unlock their potential and achieve incredible things. Together, we can create lasting change - thank you for stepping up as a hero for our cause!
Offer 2: Pay £73.50 and raise as much as you can
By paying £73.50, you’ll secure your place in our event and have the opportunity to raise as much as you can.
We encourage participants on this package to aim for a fundraising goal of at least £150. This helps us cover the £120 cost per charity space and ensures we can continue making a meaningful impact for the young people we support.

Offer 3: Own space #GNR27 hero
You can still join The Key’s GNR 2027 Hero Team with your own Great North Run place and make a difference for young people by raising vital funds.
There’s no entry fee and no fundraising target - you’ll enjoy all the same benefits and support as our charity place runners. Every step you take will help empower young people to realise their potential.
