On International Women's Day, we were excited to welcome a special guest to our office as Dame Sheila Hancock visited The Key and some young people who have recently completed the KEY+ Challenge!

Today, the esteemed Dame Sheila Hancock, actress and author, paid us a visit to extend her support and witness first-hand the positive impact of the generous funding received from her late husband's foundation, the John Thaw Foundation.

Since 2018, we have received funding from the John Thaw Foundation, which has provided instrumental support in empowering young people from the region to take on the KEY+ Challenge.

Sheila met with young people who have taken on KEY+ recently at Ferryhill School and heard all about how taking it on had helped them to improve their confidence and skills.

After sharing about her KEY+ projects and receiving feedback from Sheila, Frankie said "It was a great experience to meet Dame Sheila. She made us feel proud of what we have achieved with The Key."

We had a great morning chatting about The Key and how inspirational young people and their ideas truly are. Check out the pics below!
